The NIS Campus
According to a systematic literature review conducted by Davies et al (2011)
"There is evidence that suggests an impact of creative learning environments on learners' academic achievement; increased confidence and resilience; enhanced motivation and engagement; development of social, emotional and thinking skills; and improved school attendance. The evidence from the review suggests that teacher skills and attitudes; a willingness to act as a role model; awareness of learners' needs; flexible approaches to curriculum and lesson structure; particular types of classroom interaction with pupils, together with the use of ICT and assessment, are important components of teaching for creativity." (P. 88)
Since 2008, the NIS Board of Trustees have demonstrated a longstanding commitment to developing the school learning environment. After almost a decade of ongoing infrastructure development NIS boast excellent facilities, which in our opinion are conducive to high levels of student achievement.
Views from Outside

The NIS campus is divided into two distinct areas, the Girls' School and the Boys' School, both of which have a spacious parklike environment with grassy areas, trees and plants. When planning the development of the school's campus the preservation and cultivation of these areas was purposeful.

These are important areas for learning, play, socialization and relaxation. These outdoor areas have been designed to incorporate areas for students to participate in sports during snack, lunch and after school. Popular sports at NIS are soccer, cricket, volleyball and basketball.

The campus is also designed with many shaded areas to allow children to escape from the heat during the more inclement months of the year. However, from mid-October through to April the climatic conditions are pleasant and are conducive to outdoor play. This is something that is encouraged at NIS.

One of the most popular areas with the students is the NIS Astroturf, which was installed in 2011. This is used for Physical Education, snack and lunchtime soccer, staff v student games, house competitions and the famous NIS Champions' League soccer tournament.
