NIS | PROJECTS 2016 - 2017

“Projects are an excellent way to extend the assessment / homework process, and to engage children with age / ability appropriate higher order thinking experiences and develop critical thinking skills.”

University of Maryland (2006) states, “Critical thinking is inherently linked to effective learning.” (p.3)

General Rules

All NIS students from grade 4 to grade 8 are expected to submit school projects throughout the school year according to the schedule below. These projects will be graded and included in the overall final grade for each student.

Parents can support and help their children doing their projects, but they must not do the projects for them. Teachers will be allocating time during their lessons to assist their students in their projects.
