The aim of Math Week is for Primary aged to have fun, but at the same time still practicing and engaging in mathematical activities. It is a break from book work and conventional classroom activities. Math Week is a week within the school year which is dedicated to putting fun back into Mathematics.
Maths Week reinforces concepts that were taught in the classroom. This week also integrates problem solving, and thinking skills, where children are asked to apply their mathematical knowledge to a range of unfamiliar situations and games.
Primary is about learning, but also having fun. Young learners look forward to these activities as they enjoy the competitions, games and activities. Math Week is a great platform for active learning as learners are actively engaged in various activities. Treasure hunt, Number washing line and Roll the Dice are just some activities we do.
