The aim of Science Week is to allow young learners to observe, interact and perform interesting experiments and get them working together in groups. There are a multitude of experiments that can be done in groups which can show children how chemicals react with each other. Science Week is designed for learners to have fun, learn about experiments and various scientific facts. We want to take learners out of classroom and get them interacting with materials and group members.
Geyser Mentos, fake snow, lava lamp, make a volcano, elephants toothpaste represents just some of the experiments we do.
We encourage children to make predictions, follow instructions, undertake practical experiments methodically, start to use and understand safety protocols.
Perhaps most importantly children are asked to carefully observe what happens during scientific experiments and articulate their thoughts.
